Some Comic Book Work

So the guys and I at work started working on a new project we hope will be fun and successful. See what happens when the boss goes out of town ;). I thought I would share what we came up with since I had a hand in the graphic design of it all. So here it is. We want to turn it into a full production and as time goes on, it will get better and better. This was what was released to the public this month.

Taking on aquarium scum one bad parameter at a time.

So, if you haven’t figured it out yet, I work for an fish keeping on-line retailer/information provider. It’s just one of my jobs. We know a good amount based on professionals that have been in the business for almost four decades now. It’s been a fun ride and I’ve really enjoyed keeping fish since working here. Almost three years now. I’ve been put in charge of a lot of social media for the company so I’m hoping this is just another create way to get our information out to the internet world. Share if you like it. The plan is that it’s going to be a comic show/comic strip combo.

This should be interesting. This is the introduction teaser.

Baby Foot Lake

Wife and I did a day hike to Baby Foot Lake in Oregon. It was a little over two miles in and the same coming out. The trail was very nicely maintained, but still had to climb over about 20 trees total. This area was burnt up during the Biscuit Fire in 2002. I remember going there before the fire and shortly after around 2005. Back then everything was charcoal, but there is a lot of new growth now. The trees are half black and half white. It’s crazy to see. Take a look at the video and the photos.

Off to the beach!

So, I’m at it again. Blogging brings me back to when I had infocusphotography.com where I kept and managed a blog a couple times a week. It was hard work but rewarding. I’m trying out this new blog for a way to keep track of some of my thoughts, experiences, and adventures. My first adventure was off to the beach. Here where I live, there has been a ton of fires all around us. I heard (don’t know how true it is), but with all the fires in the US, all the fires in Oregon make up like 92% of the fires. Needless to say, we needed some fresh air. We went with some friends and it was a blast to just get away for the way. I wanted to share a wonderful tide pool we found. Take a look. I hope you enjoy.

Tide pool found in a rock. Picture Perfect!

I’ve never found a tide pool like this one. I’ve studied a lot about the ocean in some college classes. We did tide pool investigation which was usually right where the tide meets the rocks, but this tide pool was a giant boulder that had a worn out spot that caught ocean water in it. When the tide was in, the ocean almost covered the rock. When the tide was out, the water just ran around the bottom of the right, leaving the top of the rock and this perfect tide pool exposed. Those were some strong anemones!ย  Did you know they release nerotoxins, but thing is, they don’t affect us because our skin protects us. Now put it on your lips or tongue, that’s a different story. Give it a try sometime ๐Ÿ˜‰

A close up on the star fish and the anemone. Weird question, but have you ever tried licking one of these? I have ๐Ÿ™‚
